The installation Emancipation of the indebted man is based on the aesthetic and political thought of Jacques Rancière and his philosophical proposal of the equality of the intelligences, and of Maurizio Lazzarato with his notion of the indebted man.

 

It is not an allegory or a representation but the creation of potentialities by becoming in the common. Spaces, texts, images, shapes and colors interact in an organic way, generating with a certain tension a spiral of concepts to produce new meanings, contextualizing, contrasting, deterritorializing one and the other. The installation in a subtle and direct way directs thought and attention
to provoke actions in the viewer to distance themselves, turn around and critically review their own position.

 

The work proposes a journey towards emancipation. The author does not position himself as the last instance of the truth, which would be incoherent with his proposal. The installation is made up of two central spaces - the dystopian space and the space for Utopia and hope. There are no marked borders because one is the continuation of the other. Utopia is the virtual world of potentiality, in the sense developed by Deleuze and Guattari,
"Coloring" of "colorful" reality, using words from Paúl Cezanne.

 

This is what the installation of the artist Hernando Blandón focuses on, towards the possible revelation through a real experience of the virtual for emancipation as a process of subjectivation in community.
