Identity, like the body that possesses it, is mutant and ephemeral but at the same time it can remain and leave a mark. These are conditions that, although they seem contradictory, all occur in its construction and development. For this reason, it can be complex to understand what identity is from confusing psychological or sociological constructions. To understand even one of its minimum dimensions, it is enough to take a human expression given towards the outside and towards others, which alone accounts for what is inherent to each person.

Identity + poetry by the artist Male Correa exposes the above through his experimentation processes that led to the construction of a discourse sustained mainly in the use of non-traditional materials and the introduction of resources that were necessary during its process. Honey, graphite, coffee, calligraphy, drawing and poetry are elements that came together, mixed to, intentionally or not, build a visual language that questioned, or better, showed those paradoxes that are woven in around the concept of identity. The fact that the artist is "repeated" for being a twin sister is a starting point that she has to ask herself about what identity truly is. Could it be that the identity is assigned to each person initially in a civil registry? Or is the signature of each person a symbolic way of establishing a unique identity forever, even if it is susceptible to being falsified? His personal experience and the history of his origin give way to these questions that put into question the stable character that has been tried to build of this dimension of being and that has been treated from the individuality and uniqueness, leaving aside the immense amount of faces and paradoxes that occur in reality around this concept.
